Monty has been a Guelph Business man since 1957. He previously owned The Brothers Department Stores in Guelph, Kitchener, Brantford, St Catherines and Woodstock and also the Home Furniture Store.

His experience in Real Estate dates back to 1972 as a successful Real Estate investor and developer in Naples, Florida.He received his real estate license in 1987 and his brokers license in 1992. He has consistently been among the top producers in Guelph and in 2003 and 2004 The Top Producer at Re/Max Realty Specialists Inc.

Monty's civic duties have been president of the Guelph Red Cross for several years and during this time helped to bring The Meals On Wheels Program to Guelph. He was a Vice President of the Ontario Red Cross, Co-Chairman Commercial Division of the Guelph United Way and presently works to help O.P.I.R.G. in the Speed River clean up every June.
